THE FURMINATOR.
This is a dog/cat brush that seems terrific at removing shedding fur from undercoats. We carry two sizes: 3" (medium) and 4" (large). It i a rake syle brush that looks like a long clipper blade attached to a fancy handle. Come on in and give it a try.
 Pill pockets -
These are VERY tasty moist treats with a hole in the center for inserting a pill. Very good for getting medications down stubborn pets.
Trihart Plus -
This brand of heartworm preventative medication is a bit cheaper than Heartgard, and also controls ascarid and hookworm infections in dogs. We have had a few rare cases of upset tummy, however. Let us know if your pet is experiencing this problem as well.
Our favorite/common products
Supplements - We often recommend supplements for older dogs (3V Caps, Synovi G3, glucosamine and chondroitin capsules, and omega-3 fatty acids).
Toys - We have a number of newer toys that are virtually indestructable. They are made by Tuffie's and have been tested by tigers in zoos for durability. We also have super-tough food toys such as tug-a-jugs (Busy Buddy) that you can put dry food inside and the dog has to work at removing its food. These are good for mental stimulation and also slow down their eating sessions.
Training Collar
We love the Gentle Leader for dogs that tend to pull or jump up on people. These head collars are specially designed to prevent both of these habits from occurring.
Denta Treat - This is a parmesan cheese type product that helps with dental care. It is sprinkled on your dog or cats food, and can help to prevent plaque build-up.
Bach Flower Essences - These herbal remedies are oral liquids that are specially mixed to combat behavioral and physiological problems. A couple squirts of the liquid a few times a day in your cat or dogs mouth is all that is needed, and these solutions have shown us that they are often effective. The essences we mix depend on what the symptoms are. We often use them to relax anxious pets, pets with incontinence, and numerous other problems.
Training products
Collars - We carry the Gentle Leader which attaches to your leash and is used to prevent dogs from pulling or jumping up on people. We have had great success with this product.
Videos - We have a few training videos made by Puppy Smarts which discuss methods for training basic obedience commands, house training, and how to prevent biting and jumping.
